Certified Fire Investigator

Donan Engineering is a 60+ year established firm that sets the standard for excellence in forensic investigation throughout and beyond our eight-state region. Our fire investigators visit sites, analyze evidence, and gather information to determine origin and cause of fires and explosions. Typical duties include field studies, research, report writing and close client interaction. Our engineers and fire investigator decisions often have huge monetary and legal implications for our clients. These clients choose us again and again because they know we will provide them with sound, well reasoned, insightful and most importantly honest opinions about the cause or causes of a defect, accident or other failure related problem. Job Duties/Requirements:
• Private Investigator Licensure
• Must be Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) 
• Must be familiar with NFPA 921
• Degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 4+ years of work related experience to be qualified
• Experience in the local public and/or private sectors performing origin and cause investigations on residential and commercial structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must
• Prepare and maintain reports of investigation results
• Experience testifying in court cases involving fires
