Student Meetings/Training

Chapters
The Student Committee recommends that all student members also join their local IAAI Chapter. Joining your local chapter can be a great way to network with other professionals in your area. Most chapters also have multiple training opportunities throughout the year, which are free or offered at discounted rates for members of those Chapters.

The following IAAI Chapters currently offer training scholarships for student members, discounted student rates, and/or student memberships:

  • Connecticut
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Kentucky
  • Massachusetts
  • Montana
  • New York
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee

If you are a student interested in joining an IAAI Chapter, attending a Chapter training seminar, or looking for information on what the above chapters offer, please contact the Student Committee.

Training
The IAAI offers regional and virtual training opportunities throughout the year. These training events are great opportunities to not only learn about the topics presented, but also provide opportunities to network with professionals in the industry. These training events can be found on the training page (link to training page). Student members are eligible for a discounted rate to attend the IAAI ITC. Please contact the Student Committee for details.

Most students can meet the minimum requirements to test for the IAAI-FIT and/or the IAAI-ECT prior to or shortly after graduation of their degree program. Information on these designations can be found at (link to certifications page). Students with questions about certifications and designations can contact the Student Committee or the Certifications Committee.
