The IAAI Constitution & By-Laws Committee has received and vetted one (1) proposed amendment to the existing IAAI Constitution & By-Laws. This proposed amendment adds a new committee to the list of Standing Committees of the IAAI.
This proposal is published for review and consideration of the IAAI Membership. Publication of the proposed amendments initiates a 30-day public comment period for the membership to offer their comments regarding this proposal. The public comment period will end on December 30, 2024. Section 1 Standing Committee. The following committees shall be standing full-time committees of the IAAI.
#N. IAAI Grants and Research Committee
The duties of the Grants and Research Committee shall be the development, administration and management of monetary assistance opportunities for education, professional development, and research assistance for individuals and institutions engaged in the field of fire, arson, and explosion investigations under the direction of the IAAI Board of Directors. The committee will manage donations to fund scholarships and grants to members to enhance the field of fire investigation. The committee will oversee fundraising opportunities, and propose grants, scholarships, and expenditures to the IAAI Board of Directors for approval.
